Partnership

Partner with CutisBio.

CutisBio works with brands, ingredient companies, manufacturers and research groups to take biologically produced materials from concept to a process that can be manufactured. This page explains how an engagement starts.

How we operate

We develop the technology; partners manufacture and sell.

CutisBio is a technology company without a factory. Strains, processes and patents are developed on our SAC platform; commercial biomanufacturing and product making are carried out by manufacturing partners, and materials and finished products reach the market through sales partners.

That is why partnerships are the core of the business rather than an add-on. Every material we develop needs a manufacturing route and a route to market, and the partners who provide them are involved from the development plan onward.

Engagement models

Choose the model that fits the stage of your programme.

An engagement can start with one model and grow into another as the material proves itself.

  • 01

    Joint development

We develop the strain and process together against agreed targets, sharing data, risk and decisions.

  • 02

    Material supply

We supply a developed material for evaluation or use in your product under agreed specifications.

  • 03

    Licensing / technology transfer

We transfer a strain, process or know-how package so you can manufacture in your own or a partner’s facility.

  • 04

    Application validation

We test a CutisBio material in your application, with your methods, before either side makes a larger commitment.

How engagement works

From first contact to a development plan.

Each step has a defined output, so both sides know what has been decided before more is shared.

  1. 01Initial fitA short conversation about your application, performance needs and timing, to see whether our platform is the right route.
  2. 02NDA & data reviewUnder NDA, both sides exchange the technical detail needed to assess the programme properly.
  3. 03FeasibilityA structured view of biological, process and application feasibility, with the open questions named.
  4. 04Development planScope, milestones, responsibilities and the engagement model, written down and agreed.

What to prepare

What helps us respond well.

You do not need a complete brief. Four points, at a general level, are enough for a first conversation.

  • Target application

What the material is for and where it sits in your product or process.

  • Required performance

The properties, specifications or standards that define success for you.

  • Volume horizon

The scale you are working towards over time, even as a rough range.

  • Timeline

When you need evaluation material, and when you need a decision.

Keep the first message general. Confidential detail is exchanged under NDA, at the second step of the process.
